Suchitra Nair

Suchitra is the Head of Deloitte’s EMEA Centre for Regulatory Strategy, where she monitors the dynamic regulatory horizon, providing invaluable insights and guidance to clients as they navigate the multifaceted challenges and opportunities presented by regulatory change. She has published extensively on the direction of travel of regulation and its strategic and operational impact on firms.

Under Suchitra’s leadership, her dedicated team delivers a comprehensive suite of services, including tailored Board and Senior Management Function (SMF) training, as well as bespoke regulatory briefings specifically designed for Boards and Senior Executives. This ensures that leadership teams are well-informed and equipped to make sound decisions in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.

Beyond her client-facing and leadership responsibilities, Suchitra is deeply passionate about actively shaping future policy. Her driving motivation is to contribute to the creation of a resilient and sustainable financial services ecosystem that supports growth. This commitment is evident through her extensive contributions to numerous influential industry and government working groups. These include prominent platforms such as the World Economic Forum, where she has lent her expertise to global discussions, and the DTI’s UK FinTech – State of the Nation initiative, demonstrating her dedication to fostering innovation within a robust regulatory framework.

She holds several industry roles that involve shaping the policy landscape in Financial Services, including Chair of CityUK’s Technology and Innovation Working Group and the AI Working Group.
