About the role

We are now looking for our next chair who will inherit a robust organisation with a trusted brand, a values-driven culture, an exceptional team and a diverse Board. As chair, you will ensure GS1 UK remains commercially disciplined and strategically ambitious while staying true to its mission. You will help the organisation make bold, informed decisions, particularly around technology, innovation and investment, and bring the technological fluency needed to help the Board navigate digital disruption and emerging trends. You will also act as an authoritative ambassador, representing GS1 UK with the government, our cross-sector members, partners and the global GS1 community.

This is an exciting time to join GS1 UK. We are seeking a commercial, collaborative and forward-thinking leader with significant board leadership experience in a sector relevant to GS1 UK. You will bring a strong understanding of governance, sharp strategic judgement and the ability to guide and challenge at board level, including on technology-enabled change. A first-class networker with established and relevant connections, you will be a diplomatic, politically astute and persuasive communicator, with the gravitas and authority to represent GS1 UK across our international federation, key industries and government.
