Position Description

As a Trustee, you will:

• Contribute to strategic direction and long-term planning in a changing system
• Support good governance, risk management and decision-making
• Provide constructive challenge and critical friendship to the executive team
• Bring insight from your professional background to support organisational development
• Help the organisation think clearly about growth, partnerships and sustainability
• Act as an ambassador for VASE and the wider voluntary and community sector

Trustees are not involved in day-to-day operations but play a vital role in shaping how the organisation responds to complexity and change.

Selection Criteria

We are particularly interested in people with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Change management or organisational transformation
• Public sector, local government or system leadership
• People leadership, culture change or workforce development
• Strategic communications, influencing or stakeholder engagement
• Digital, data or service redesign
• VCSE infrastructure, commissioning or partnership working

You do not need previous trustee experience. We value people who can think strategically, work collaboratively, and bring calm, thoughtful challenge.
