Think board roles are only for the seasoned elite? Think again.

Whether you’re just starting out, mid-career, or already leading, stepping into a Trustee, Non-Executive, or Advisory Board role can be a game-changer. This myth-busting session reveals how board positions can supercharge your strategic thinking, elevate your leadership profile, and connect you with powerful networks.

Discover what boards are really looking for, how to position yourself for opportunities, and how to make a meaningful impact—professionally and personally.

We’re bringing together a powerhouse panel of leaders from tech, sport, and gender & youth advocacy sectors who are incorporating board roles in their careers to amplify their influence and drive change.

Hear from:

  • Leigh Gell, Trustee, Vice Chair of the National Youth Council and Football Development Officer
  • Maudlyn Akosua Awuku, Board Member, Founder and award winning Gender & Youth Advocate
  • Lucy Buckley, PhD – Strategic Board Advisor, Founder of the Digital Health Assurance Company & Entrepreneur in Residence

These trailblazers will share how they balance boardroom impact with demanding day jobs—and why now is the time to claim your seat at the table.

We look forward to engaging with this wonderful panel, hosted by our Regional Lead, Rebecca Ganz, thanks to the support of Squire Patton Boggs, Manchester.
