Gaining a board role is a challenge but what about the other end of the journey? Knowing when and why to leave a board is an exercise of judgement, weighing the organisation’s needs alongside your own aspirations and reputation.
We are joined by two experienced non-executives who will share their perspectives on stepping off boards and hold space for attendees to discuss their own situation under the Chatham House rule.
Becks Ganz will talk about her decision not to enter a 2nd term with a leading franchisor in the education sector, and also about pulling out at an early stage in the appointment process for another company.
Sonia Gayle will share her experience in remaining a trustee through a major charity merger, and working with others who did step off as two boards merged to one.
