Rachel has supported hundreds of Women on Boards members to prepare for interviews on all types of boards as well as sitting on public sector recruitment panels. She also has personal experience on ‘both sides of the fence’, as a board candidate and in subsequent recruitment.

Rachel Tranter
Executive Director and founder
Rachel is a founding director of Women on Boards UK. She brings over a decade experience in non-executive board recruitment – both advising recruiting boards on their requirements and approach; and supporting our members to excel during selection processes. She has deep insight in public sector recruitment, as she sits as an Independent Panel Member for the Ministry of Justice.
Rachel previously sat as an Independent Non Executive Director of the Amateur FA, combining her passions for football and governance. Prior to establishing Women on Boards in 2012, she spent 18 years as an international corporate tax consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and subsequently with Cardio Direct Ltd, a medical provider of cardiac services. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, ATII qualified.
