Most boards are aware of their growing duties around climate, but what sets apart the boards who are leading on net zero transition? At the Insights evening we will hear from Vicky Moffatt, CEO of Chapter Zero, on their research into the approaches individual directors and boards overall can take – and why now is a key moment to do so.

Autumn 2023 will see the release of the Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT) framework which will set the ‘gold standard’ for private sector climate transition plans. With Chris Skidmore MP encouraging companies to grasp the ‘historic opportunity’ of the net zero transition in his UK Net Zero Review, this is a critical moment for boards to step forward and lead on climate action to build long-term business resilience and a sustainable future.

Susan Hooper, Founding Director and Vicky Moffatt, CEO of Chapter Zero, a sustainability-focused membership organisation for non-executive directors, will lead a discussion on the challenges and opportunities for boards as they plan for the net zero transition.

They will draw on research from Chapter Zero’s membership into the boardroom mindset needed for effective action and the cultural transformation at board level which puts the climate change transition at the heart of strategy.

This informal event will also be an opportunity to connect IN-PERSON with other Women on Boards members over drinks and nibbles.
