This talk encompasses research-based career tips to help individuals realise their potential within their current role and build the foundation for future success. It addresses impact and influence, including meeting management, voice control and mastering the pre-meeting. It also looks at the importance of understanding organisational culture and your boss’s priorities along with the latest views on networking, including the concept of having a ‘personal boardroom’.

In this session Fiona Hathorn will cover the following:

Presence and Authority

  • Do men and women communicate in different ways – according to research
  • Understanding influence
  • Ensuring your voice is heard in meetings

Your Network

  • The importance of being a strong self-advocate
  • How to be strategic with your networking and take ownership of your career
