Irene Adeyinka
Irene Adeyinka’s professional journey is a testament to the transformative power of seizing opportunities and venturing beyond familiar territory. Her career began in the youth and social support services, where she passionately championed the needs of vulnerable individuals and communities. This early experience instilled in her a commitment to social justice and equity, values that continue to underpin her work today.
Irene’s current role as a Senior Culture & Inclusion Specialist at DLA Piper, a global business law firm, sees her developing a strategic approach to inclusion across Europe. Her focus lies in cultural understanding in driving organisational success. She works to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives.
Her career trajectory, while unconventional, has been marked by a series of impactful achievements. Notably, she holds a Non-Executive Director position at Goldsmiths, University of London, where she provides expert guidance on critical issues such as race equity, mental health, and graduate success. Her insights and expertise are invaluable in shaping institutional policies and practices that promote inclusivity and support the student experience.
Irene’s influence extends beyond her roles at DLA Piper and Goldsmiths University. She is an active member of the All Parliamentary Group for Governance and Inclusive Leadership (APPG), contributing to diversity and representation in leadership positions and UK Equality legislation. Her commitment to advancing inclusion was further recognised in 2024 when she was shortlisted for the prestigious Burberry Diversity Awards and Women in Law Diversity Awards.
Driven by a desire to empower others, Irene founded The Lost Graduate Group. This organisation offers vital inclusion and career coaching services, helping individuals navigate their careers journeys in the public and private sectors.
Irene Adeyinka’s story is a powerful example of what can be achieved through courage, determination, and a commitment to positive change. Her work has touched countless lives, and she continues to be a leading voice in shaping a fairer and more inclusive society.
