Emily Cox MBE
Currently- Group Head of Colleague Relations at Lloyds Banking Group
The programme provided time out of a busy work (and home) life to think about what you are, where you’re going and who you want to become. Meeting people who’ve done it and believe you can get there too is incredibly inspiring.
The three things I valued most from the Getting to the C-Suite programme were:
- Role-modelling: The trainers and Women on Boards team are hugely encouraging and embue you with the sense that ‘you can do it’.
- Practical content: I’ve got significant experience at strategic level but even though some of the content was familiar, a different way of shaping it was highly valuable to express and implement it more effectively.
- Networking: the cohort over the programme was very varied. It’s extremely useful and interesting to know such a range of great people.
I’ve also been inspired and supported to develop my non-executive career by Women on Boards and have now three NED roles alongside my new executive position.”
“Self investment is always a good one, and the Getting to the C-Suite leadership programme was a great investment.”
In addition to her executive role, Emily is Chair of the CBI regional council in the North East of England; a Non-Executive Director at housing association, Gentoo Group; and Non-Executive Director at major venue and cultural centre, Sage Gateshead.
